How to apply for a rental property with REB Letting

The following is a simplified guide to the referencing process. 

  1. We take basic information to help find you a suitable property
  2. View properties with one of our lettings team
  3. Complete an application form and provide copies of Identification and other required documents.
  4. Payment of holding fee (£100.00) per property and reference fee (£75.00) per tenant
  5. Application is discussed with Landlord prior to processing (applications not taken up at this stage will have application fee refunded)
  6. Application verified by external referencing company who check all information provided plus income checks, credit score and financial searches
  7. Approved applications notified by phone and in writing
  8. Full deposit (normally equal to one month rent) taken to hold property until agreed tenancy start date
  9. First months rent and payment of £75.00 for the legal document and administration collected.
  10. Tenancy agreement signed and keys signed for
  11. Tenancy commences

Applicants who think they may have a poor credit history or credit score are advised to check with a credit reference agency prior to submitting an application.  Alternative solutions may be offered by agreement with the landlord.
